Farmers Market Opening Memorial Day Weekend!

The Bemidji's Natural Choice Farmers Market will be opening up for the 2017 season on May 27th at 9 am and will go every Saturday until the end of October. Now that winter for another season is behind us, we have have been busy planning our farms and getting ready for the market.

A lot of things have been happening behind the scenes.  We have farms that have gone through lambing and kidding, sheep have been shorn, and some that are getting their bees ready for the summer.  We have people that tapped their maple trees and boiled down the sap for maple syrup.  We have gardens being planted and plants that are starting to pop up out of the soil.  The weather has been warm and cold, rainy and snowy- but that is all very typical of a northern Minnesota spring.

2017 Season Vendors and Musicians Information

The 2017 farmers market season is upon us, and we are currently accepting applications for being a vendor with our market.  We strive to maintain a family friendly, fun atmosphere where we provide products that are either naturally raised or made.  Crafters are also a welcome addition to our market.  If this is something that you have considered in the past, or have a product ready to go already and you are looking for a new outlet for sales, we encourage you to consider us. 10 Reasons Why You Need to Shop at a Farmer's Market

By: Rebecca Whiting
As we are getting ready for the coming Spring, I decided maybe (just maybe) I should try to compile a list of all the wonderful reasons why people should shop at their local farmer’s market(s) just in case anyone needed any convincing and were not already doing so.

Not that YOU needed any convincing, am I right?  This is for all those OTHER people.
